Actually, it's terrible for those users.  They immediately need to cope 
with the baggage of setting up a project.  I suppose with windoze they 
might be used to it because it is common there.  Sometimes I think they 
(windows stuff) went out of their way to add baggage.  We should be 
promote an escape from the complexity.

You should be able to start with a schematic, or whatever, and have the 
project grow from there.  The project manager should take care of 
organizing it, using common unix tools under the hood.

Some files will be generated by the project manager.  It is important 
that these files are nice looking and editable.  An advanced user 
should be able to edit the underlying files with any appropriate tool, 
and the result should still work with the project manager.  You should 
be able to easily bring files in and out.
