gEDA-dev: Is anybody teaching gschem how to speak dbus?

A related question: is there a preferred way to make dbus requests
from guile?  At worst I suppose I could use (system "dbus-send blah
blah").  I'm thinking it would be nice to be able to select a pin in
gschem, and have the corresponding pin/pad automagically highlighted
in pcb.

The other direction is maybe more interesting, but also seems like more work.
