First thing is to get the patches to vvp integrated into the main
source tree. That's obvious, and we're already working that between
ourselves off the list.

I suspect the easiest way to distribute SDF is to include it in the
Icarus Verilog tarball. Make an sdf directory next to the vvp and
vpi directories, and put it there. The product should still be an
sdf.vpi module that is loaded by -msdf, but that module can be
bundled with Icarus Verilog.

If that is OK, with you, of course.
