gEDA: Atmel FPGA query

For completeness, I ordered my free copy of the Atmel IDS development
package for AT40K family FPGAs, in order to see if Icarus Verilog
synthesis could be integrated with their software.

It appears that it is quite feasible, and I would do it by adding
support for at40k and at6k family parts to the -tfpga code generator,
and using EDIF.

The question, then, becomes, "Who cares?" Does anybody out there use
or plan to use ATMEL FPGAs, and would that somebody be interested in
support from Icarus Verilog for these devices?
