Harry has a private alpha test in progress, to lead up to
what I think he will call version 2.0.  That version has
my patches, and those of a bunch of others, integrated.
I can verify that it builds and runs on my machine, but
haven't had time to play with it much.  Until that's
released, your best bet is 1.6.3 or 1.7.2, with all the
third-party patches you can find applied.

They're probably in the 1.99 test copy.

The good news is that while the new version offers
a modern, GUI-style to build components, all old
(and new) m4 components work without modification.
