gEDA: pbm with system-gschemrc

hello everybody,

I got a new computer at work, and I am setting it up with my favorite
tools ...

I installed the latest cvs for gaf and everything runs fine. However, I
tried to modify the system-gschemrc, and I lose the pull down menus.
This is when uncommenting the 3 lines to get the parts auto-numbering

I get the following error message :

Probably parenthesis mismatch in
/home/chris/geda/share/gEDA/system-gschemrc

Anybody seen that before ?
