I thought I grabbed the latest snapshot.  Perhaps the fix is in CVS?
Or maybe my head is wedged and I grabbed the wrong snapshot?

Great idea!  Personally, I am getting my Linux validation lab put
together again so as to test the gEDA CD installer.  A new release is
coming soon. . . . .
