As Mike pointed out this leads to giant packages. We can do that, and we can join queues in computer stores for other disks for other *EDA tools.

Listen! I did NOT say that installing Linux is pain_in_the_ass. My point is that it is fair easy. Same goes for gEDA too. For me, it's very easy to install it with ALL its dependencies. And I think newbies -if they want- can learn how to install libraries. Once upon a time we all were newbies. Think about!
