Thanks, Carlos and Ales, for doing this work!  I may or may not tune
in on IRC.  But please let me know when you intend to do it.  I
appreciate the option of tuning in.

Also, if we're headed into a brief period of instability, I wonder if
Ales should create a full gEDA/gaf release just before the changes so
that we can get all the wonderful new features out into the user
community before things go all pear shaped ....
