And yet, two weeks after the new folk are attracted, they will ask,
"So why is it bogging down with my 700 net, 400 footprint design?".
The lesstif GUI is ten X faster, so a good GTK-based pcb is a bigger
thing to take a whack at too, when you consider real uses. I appreciate your
focus on education, but part of the reason we launch so many low self
sufficiency, less resourceful engineers these days is that they are raised on
cripple-ware, so they think "Ah, that's life...I'll join 'em rather than fight
it..." Please remember that pcb and gschem are used for real life economic
gain, and need to keep that focus while adding education features that do not
break the present real-life-tool functions.
