Thanks for pointing that out to me :-) I will definitely check it
out, although my goal isn't to create a simulator, but rather how to
represent information about components; This information includes
schematic symbols, PCB footprints, simulation models, (anything
else?). Ultimately, this library would stand independently from any
software such as simulators, schematics capture programs, etc., but
the software would access this library through a standardized API.
Qucs appears to be doing some of this in addition to also being a
simulator, and it is definitely worthwhile to review the current state
of how this information is represented.
